Today is the last Sunday in July. For the past 108 years, that’s the day of the Jones Family Reunion. My family came here in the early 1900’s from Sweden, and started this tradition soon after. They all taught us that Family is the most important part of life, and those teachings have been passed down all these years. It always amazes me, the morning of reunion, the feeling I get deep inside. That feeling reminds me I’m a Jones, and the love of all those that came before me are smiling down on all of us, happy that the tradition lives on.
So this morning, I’ll go to reunion, have some coffee and danish, say hello to my family, then to Sages baseball game, but then I’ll go back to reunion, to be with family. I do all of this because, it’s the last Sunday in July!! It’s what the Jones’s have done for 108 years, it’s Reunion!!
