Update on Fireworks!

9:15pm UPDATE:
FIREWORKS Will be set off at the Jenks river bridge in 20 minutes.

BoomFest Update (7:30PM): After the weather briefing, we were informed that the storm should be past Jenks by 9:30pm. At this time, we plan to move forward with the show around 9:30PM (unless something happens during the storm that causes the show to be unsafe). It could be slightly after 9:30PM (9:45ish) if crews are needing a little more time once the storm passes. Thank you for your patience as crews work around this weather issue 😊

‼️IF THE SHOW IS CANCELLED BECAUSE OF AN ISSUE CAUSED BY THE STORM, WE WILL TRY TO ALERT THE PUBLIC AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. STAY TUNED TO THESE PAGES- UNLESS OTHERWISE ALERTED, THE SHOW WILL GO ON AT 9:30PM OR SLIGHTLY AFTER.

UPDATE (5pm):
We are watching the weather updates closely for this evening. As of now (5pm July 4th) the plan is to move forward with the fireworks show at 9:15/9:30pm, rain or shine! THERE IS A CHANCE THE SHOW COULD BE MOVED TO AN EARLIER TIME (8:30PM/8:45PM) if the weather is moving in at a faster rate than predicted. PLEASE CHECK BACK to the City of Jenks, Jenks PD, or Jenks Fire social media pages (or our text alert system) regularly for updates.

‼️EXCEPTIONS: due to safety reasons if there is high wind gusts at the time of the show or lightning detected within 5 miles of the Jenks bridge, Jenks PD and Jenks Fire will be clearing the bridge and area and fireworks show will not be able to proceed.

At this time, it looks like the weather should not be in our area until closer to 10pm - everyone cross your fingers, bring an umbrella just in case, and check our pages for updates 😊🇺🇸
