🥶 COOLER DAYS AHEAD? The Models Are Starting to Battle…

The long-range guidance is becoming more interesting as we head toward the third week of July.

Right now, the GFS AI model continues to advertise a much more significant cooldown, spreading below-average temperatures across much of the central and eastern United States. Meanwhile, the European model is still trying to hold onto warmer conditions across many of those same areas.

If the cooler GFS AI solution were to verify, many locations could experience a noticeable break from the summer heat, with temperatures running well below average for several days. The Euro, however, suggests a much less dramatic change.

⚠️ Remember: This is model guidance only, not an official forecast. Long-range patterns often change, and confidence in the exact outcome is still limited. We’ll be watching closely over the coming days to see if more models begin trending toward the cooler solution—or if the Euro holds its ground.
