Here’s your sweet treat forecast for this week T H E R O Y A L T E R N: Raspberry-Peach Pavlova and “That Peanut Butter Thing!”

Our gluten-free Pavlova features a crispy/chewy vanilla meringue shell filled with a roasted S.C. peach half, fresh peach slices, juicy raspberry curd, and lightly sweetened whipped cream, set in a pool of vanilla bean crème anglaise.

And we like to keep a good thing going - especially when it’s peanut butter and chocolate! Our “Thing” has layers of light peanut butter mousse and rich peanut butter cream atop a milk chocolate, salted peanut, and peanut butter cookie crumb base topped with bittersweet ganache, a peanut butter-glazed milk chocolate mousse quenelle, and hand-piped bittersweet chocolate lattice décor, finished with salty caramel sauce. Sounds like a mouthful because it is!

A jumbo cream puff shell with a lacy streusel crust filled with fresh peach gelée, roasted and fresh peach chunks, and vanilla bean whipped ganache finished with lemon verbena crème anglaise.

And a customer favorite, our “Thing” features a crunchy milk chocolate, peanut butter cookie crumbs, and salted peanut base, topped with a layer of sweet peanut butter cream, a thick layer of peanut butter mousse, and a bit of bittersweet ganache, all finished with a peanut butter-glazed milk chocolate mousse quenelle, bittersweet chocolate lattice, and salty caramel sauce.

A sweet lemony dessert biscuit split and filled with both fresh and jammy peaches and a big ol’ dollop of vanilla whipped cream, finished with vanilla crème anglaise.
Chocolate and vanilla cake swirled together and studded with mini chocolate chips layered with a light milk chocolate swiss meringue buttercream, finished with our house-made chocolate syrup and crumbled chocolate chip cookies.

Here’s your sweet treat forecast for the week ahead T H E R O Y A L T E R N: Blue Velvet Ombré Cake and Candy Bar Chocolate Tart!

Reminiscent of a certain candy treat, our Tart features honey caramel, pretzels, and salted peanuts in a chocolate pastry shell topped with a peanut butter milk chocolate layer, peanut butter cream, pretzel bits, candied peanuts, and a shard of milk chocolate décor.

And our Blue Velvet Ombré Cake, colored naturally with citrusy butterfly pea flower, has an extra twist with the addition of blueberry swiss meringue buttercream and super-thin layers of calamansi lime cream. A bit of fresh blueberry compote and vanilla-calamansi lime cream finish the plate. The flavors are lovely and refreshing, and its whimsical look seems almost unicorn-ish - or perhaps mermaid-esque?

Here’s your sweet treat forecast for the week ahead : Chocolate Mint Slice and Blueberry Cream Bun!

Our cream bun features sweet, streusel-topped brioche filled with orange blossom mousseline cream on a bed of fresh blueberry compote and vanilla crème anglaise. It’s a study in textures; light on the tongue and refreshing.

And for a cool treat, our slice combines moist devil’s food cake lightened with layers of white mint whipped ganache and milk chocolate mint cream. Finished with a bit of whipped cream, our house chocolate syrup, and some dark chocolate crispy pearls, it beats the heat in the sweetest way!

This week : Blueberry Bread Pudding and Boston Cream Pie!

Blueberries, lemony-vanilla custard, and house made cinnamon-swirl brioche come together in our refreshing chilled bread pudding, finished with bright and snappy fresh blueberry compote, vanilla crème anglaise, and a bit of honeyed mascarpone cream.

Our Boston Cream Pie is straight-up classic: vanilla sponge cake with vanilla bean custard cream and bittersweet chocolate glaze, finished with a zigzag of whipped cream, our house-made chocolate syrup, and some chocolate crispy pearls for fun.
