Dear Sweeney’s Family,
We opened our doors on a Sunday…July 28th, 2013. In our 3 ½ years here on Johns Island, the Sweeney’s family has grown with each guest and employee that has come through our doors. We have seen a tornado, a once in a lifetime flood and a hurricane (and so much more!). Through it all have had some of the best times of our lives getting to know each and every person that has come and spent some time with us. We have celebrated Holidays with you all and partied like rock stars at times. We have known some of you since the beginning and some of you we’ve met only just recently…and can truly say that we value each and every one of you as a friend and family member. We have watched some of you expand your own families, get married…have children and witnessed as those little ones have grown so big. We have seen the loss of some dear friends who we still think of and miss dearly. We have built a lifetime of memories since that first Sunday Brunch and Dawn and I will always feel so Blessed to have had our family name on our doors for these years.
As they say with all good things, our time here is now coming to an end…it is time for us to move on and say goodbye to Sweeney’s . Our final day will be Sunday, January 8th. We will be open our fabulous Sunday Brunch from 10-4 and for Dinner from 4-8. Not a day of sadness but a day of celebration!
We hope that sometime between now and the end of day on the 8th you will come to see us and let us thank you all for your support, your friendship and for allowing us to occupy a little of your time these past few years. We want to celebrate you all and promise that each moment we are open until that time we lock the doors, we will serve our same great food, offer up fantastic service and treat you as a family member dining at our home. We will toast to our time here and to a bright future for us all. Some tears may be shed but smiles will be in abundance and laughter will be plentiful. A few champagne toasts will be delivered and a few shots may be shared. New friends, old friends and every member of our Sweeney’s family….come see us between now and January 8th for a celebration of life, a New Year filled with hopes and dreams and a chance to let the Sweeney’s family thank you for three and a half wonderful years! God Bless and hope to see you all soon!
Carpe Diem!
Dawn & Jim Sweeney
**And keep an eye out as our good friend and local neighbor Al Thompson will be bringing an original fun and family concept to our spot in just a few short weeks!
