Stayin’ groovy + keepin’ things silly good is a way of life around these parts. He came home to build a life (and a lot of the houses) in the Keystone community with his wife, Mildred. He taught us all to appreciate food, the gardening process, and to can heavy for winter. He was my favorite, and I was his. He passed away when I was 19, and never got to see me in action, but my love for all things

service related is all due to his love and care for food and community. We all called him Groovy Grover, and I hope you feel the love and goodness in every bite and interaction when you visit my little drive-thru. I chose a healthy concept because we grew up on cubed steak and gravy, mashed taters, and green beans with extry fat back. While I still adore country cookin’ the most, it is my passion to bring something healthy and quick to Johnson City so we all can stay silly as long as possible. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to slingin’ some good grub your way soon!

Jazz hands HaPpY BiRtHdAy to our powerhouse sister & biggest hype woman since the very beginning, ❣️💛❣️💛❣️💛❣️

PJ rolled up to the window one day with her infectious comedy act, our worlds collided, and we’ve never been the same! PJ has that effect on people—you just feel good after being around her.

It started with food and art barters, then onto painting our outdoor menu, social media aid cuz we’re old and PDFs are hard, making outdoor markets successful, raising $17K for Helene victims, coming into chop up veggies, and just being there through ALL the ups and downs. She literally threw on a GG shirt and hat and delivered a catering with 15mins notice once!

This is a happy birthday post, but it’s also an opportunity to spotlight how strangers in the same community can become true friends by just taking a chance on something new.

So go check out the new little business down the street. Make a little date with your friends to go back. Support that new band at the venue you never go to. You just might turn a neighbor into a friend, and find your people.
