I was THRILLED to make a Yu-Gi-Oh cake. Whimsical cakes have a special place in my heart and this cake definitely fit the style I love to make. This little two tier boasts edible images, multi toned frosting, hand cut fondant, and gold leaf.

I cannot get over this cake. This custom graduation cake celebrated a guitar player. Peek the last picture courtesy of the customer to see the real guitar.

I made it the largest I could given my board sizes. Complete with custom sculpting, fondant detailing, edible gold painting, and a royal icing logo.

I have so many fun carved cakes to share with you!! I posted this to my stories while I was making it and several of you reached out to share their excitement over this cake.

The horses are toys so I carved little stalls for their entire body to fit into. I ended up carving more away than I originally planned so I baked another sheet cake to make the stall taller.

This is a little bit about me outside the role of the cake decorator. I’m learning to balance a family with my job and interests. It’s a wild ride and I’m so thankful for all these things I’ve gotten to experience!

Have you ever met Leah? She’s a real southern belle living in Iowa- joy bottled in a person. She lets me make whatever I want for her family and she just celebrated her some-teenth 25th birthday.

After the party, she compiled some of the comments to forward to me:

“her frosting is amazing!”
“Okay I never eat frosting but this is so good!”
“Can I have the slice with the most frosting?”
“I don’t like almond or raspberry but this is delicious!”
Plus all the comments about how beautiful my cake was.

I am so happy to have her in my life and that I get to make sweets to celebrate everything she has going on.
