Today feels a little unreal. We’ve spent so many mornings behind this counter, learning your orders, hearing about your days, and watching familiar faces walk through the door. Now it’s our last one.

We’re here until 2pm today, pouring what we can while supplies last, then we’ll start cleaning up and closing this chapter.

If you can make it by, we’d truly love one more hello, one more drink, and one more moment together. 🤎

Mahalo, Maui.

Our last day at the Akakū Center kiosk is Wednesday, September 30. After a season of pop-up mornings, we’re closing our Maui operations as Kapwa moves to Oʻahu and Seattle.

To our Maui ʻohana: thank you for every early morning, every Ube and Bibingka Cold Brew, every conversation at the counter. You gave a small Filipino-inspired coffee bar a home under the Lahaina Strong sign, and we won’t forget it.

A special mahalo to Akakū Maui Community Media Akakū Maui Community Media for opening your doors and supporting us from day one.

This isn’t goodbye. Find us at Honolulu Pride Festival Honolulu Pride™ on Saturday, October 17, then our Pearl City pop-up Village Events, LLC opens Saturday, October 24. Seattle is next. Follow along here so you know where to find us. We’ll definitely see you again.

New hours, and they’re for the early risers.

Starting now, we’re open Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Same 333 Dairy Road. Same drinks. Just an earlier start for anyone who likes their morning quiet, unhurried, and caffeinated.

Closed Friday through Sunday.

Set your alarm. We’ll have the cold brew ice cold.
