Many of you may remember Brandon, who generously volunteered at this year’s Food Truck Festival. He was recently involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left him with multiple broken bones, including fractures in his spine and ribs. He is facing a long road to recovery.

The Columbia Falls Community Market was honored to participate in the Flathead Food Truck Festival this weekend — and our volunteers absolutely crushed it. Together, they raised $772 in tips, all of which goes directly back into supporting our community market programs.

One week ago today, the Flathead County Fairgrounds was filled with incredible food, live music, laughter, and an amazing community of people who came together to celebrate local food trucks.

It's hard to believe the 2026 Flathead Food Truck Festival is already behind us.

To everyone who joined us, thank you. Whether you came hungry, volunteered your time, performed on stage, sponsored the event, or worked tirelessly behind the scenes, you helped make this festival something truly special.

When something went right, it was definitely thanks to months of planning, notes, meetings, and group chats.

When something went wrong, someone was already working on Plan B, Plan C, or our favorite strategy: "Let's figure it out as we go."

This festival only happens because of people willing to put in the time, energy, and effort to make it happen. We're incredibly grateful for this team and everything they do for our community.

Will we do it again next year? Probably.

But ask us again after we've caught up on our sleep. 😴

Lindsay has been volunteering with the Flathead Food Truck Festival since 2023 and joined our Board of Directors in 2026.

Whether helping coordinate vendors, supporting fundraising efforts, tackling logistics, or working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly, Lindsay has consistently stepped up to help make the festival a success.

Her commitment to community service reaches far beyond Food Truck Festival. Lindsay served Artists and Craftsmen of the Flathead as Recording Secretary beginning in 2017 and as President from 2019 through 2025. She helped lead fundraising efforts supporting both the Doodle Buggy and the Create It Forward Scholarship, while also playing a key role in the founding and ongoing planning of the Flathead Faerie Festival.

Like many volunteers, much of her work happens long before the first food truck arrives and long after the last one leaves. Her dedication helps create events, scholarships, and opportunities that strengthen our entire community.

We are proud to have Lindsay as part of our team and thrilled to see her recognized for her service to the Flathead Valley.

Barbara is the founder of the Flathead Food Truck Festival and the driving force behind bringing this event to the Flathead Valley. What started as an idea has grown into a beloved community event that showcases local food trucks, supports small businesses, and brings thousands of people together each year.

Building an event like this takes vision, determination, and countless volunteer hours behind the scenes. We are grateful for Barbara's leadership and her continued commitment to the local food truck community.
