Wanted to update everyone on the direction of the farm.
Without appropriate tools/equipment, we need to work towards less labor intensive activities do to limited time each day.
So, we are moving faster toward food forest / alley perennials. This will allow mower access to keep weeds down and limit the area mulch is needed on.
We’ve got a bunch of fruit trees and nut trees planted but it will likely still be a few years before production picks up.
We’ve got berries started and will be expanding fast these.
Blackberries, raspberries, strawberries along with rhubarb and asparagus among other bushes / trees.
We’ll be opening for you pick within a couple of years.
We’ll still be growing and selling garlic.
We are looking at adding sheep and goats in the next couple years as well. We’ve got a full list for eggs right now, but occasionally have meat chickens available.
