Islamic Center of Johnson County has a coffee shop that serves up delicious Matcha creations weekly after Jummah Prayers, follow their socials for more on other times the shop is open! (Fruity Pebble Matcha Pictured)

And HerCafe ( on IG) is available for private events! (Peach Cobbler Matcha Pictured)

Delicious details in both options so be sure to support our community when you get the feeling for some Matcha!

Restaurant owners are simultaneously dealing with employees testing positive for COVID-19 and less business than usual, and the experience of eating out doesn't provide the same feeling of camaraderie.

We, along with other metro area health departments, are concerned about the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the Kansas City metro area. Front-line health care workers tell us they are having difficulty keeping up with the increase in cases. We must work together to make every effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. If we don’t, hospitalizations will continue to escalate which will lead to increasing ventilator use and deaths. Everyone in Johnson County must do their part to once again flatten the curve to avoid future shutdowns and restrictions. Here’s what you can do:

👉Wear a mask
👉Keep your distance from others (6+ feet)
👉Stay home and limit interactions with others, especially if you have symptoms
👉Wash hands frequently
