It’s with a heavy heart that I officially announce that My Loves Diner will be closing its doors forever.
I have tried to keep us a float as long as I could. Food cost and labor cost is just more than we can handle. I tried. Now I am in a rough spot. Our last day open is Thursday or before if sold out.
I have made a lot of bad choices in my life but opening My Loves Diner is not one of them. I have met amazing people. Watched children grow up. Helped good causes and people; I once only dreamed about helping. I have sat with people over breakfast, lunch or dinner and shared memories and listened to stories of their grandmas and mommas. Listen to how my food brought back special memories! (Wow. I truly have been so Lucky). . I have cooked from 8 in the morning till 10 pm at night to just keep the doors open so my customers would have a cozy place to eat dinner. I have cried over hearing the deaths of my customers. I have been so exhausted I didn't think I could make it another day but I always did. I have mourned with customers over so many things that troubled them or brought them sadness. Ohhh so many of these precious Memories I will take with me and cherish forever.
To the ones I hold so dear to my heart. … My past employees and current employees. So many laughs!!! So many fun times. So many special memories, I will hold close to my heart. I will miss you guys the most. All the crazy memories! The fights! The “What the F**k” moments. Yall make me so proud. It was an honor working beside you all. Seeing some of yall grow in to amazing adults. Seeing some of yall starting completely over and regaining everything you lost and more. Seeing your babies take their first breath and or watching them simply grow up!! Holding you in my arms in your hardest moments, and crying with you when you were happy too. Thank you for allowing me the honor and pleasure to be able to Love yall as family. Thank you for making The diner what is was. Thank you for all the blood, sweat, and tears you poured in to the diner. I will never be able to show my gratitude how I wish I could. I love you all like crazy. Thank you so much for putting up with all my craziness. To the main cooks that stayed with use for years and the servers. Yall are family and I love yall dearly. We would have never of made it this long without yalls dedication, love and support through the years and always having my back, even when I probably didn't deserve it.
To all My Loves customers, wow!! Thank you all for all the awards yall honored us with. Thank you for continuing to come back year after year. Thank you for coming and sharing your family and stories with us. We all will take so many good memories with us!
Even though the employees of My Loves Diner will no longer start the coffee to brew each morning, or Mix up a batch of fresh pancake mix to fill y’all’s bellies. All us at My Loves will Carry special memories of serving our customers. I know the employees will finally miss the chair scraping the floors as tables are moved together to accommodate big families!! We will miss the smell of bacon cooking on the grill (something I never thought I would say). The sound of the bell telling the severs, "food is ready".
We will miss all our customers. We appreciate yall so much. We will miss serving the community. We will miss yalls smiles and hearing yalls laughter while you all enjoying dinner together with your families. We will miss the sound of momma soothing their babies, and others running after their babies that got away. ❤️❤️. So many things we will miss.
Thank you all for allowing My Loves to serve you and your families throughout the years. I hope you all will think back in the years to come with good memories and thoughts about the little hole in the wall, called My Love’s Diner.... with a smile. ❤️
I was praying for a miracle the last few months to figure out a way to keep my doors open, but I think I was already given it with having the honor to serve you all over the years. My miracle was the diner. It always was. Always will be.
A special thanks you to the merchants of the square. So many special and amazing weman ran businesses owners. Yall put me to shame. Yall are an inspiration to everyone. I don’t know how yall do it. Thank you for wiping my tears Kari when I was overwhelmed and didn’t have any damn idea what I was doing. Thank you Pam for saying I could do it when i was scared and lost. Gosh your chicken salad sandwich brought me so much comfort. Pickle dip was my comfort food for sure. Vanessa thank you for all the hugs and always being one to offer a hand when I needed it. To Kelly your flowers have saved my butt more than you can ever know. Your smile was always worth a trip in to order your beautiful flowers. 😂 wow yall are some amazing, intelligent and hard working wemen. Such an inspiration to us all.
And to precious Glee. The first person to welcome me to the square during all the construction. Thank you so much for all the kind words, being a loyal customer and all you done for me and the community. You are so kind and loved by so many.
So many amazing beautiful souls, these people that held me up, when I couldn’t stand. You all helped me stand when my knees hit the floor. Thank you so much. Yall are such beautiful humans. Nanette, no I could never forget the battles you fought for me with Kari and the other merchants. Thank you for always slapping me back in my place when in needing. I have missed you.
Gosh I will miss so many. The city ladies that all dealt with my endless questions and emergencies. Lisa and Joy…. Yall were heaven sent.
My amazing accounting office. Omg I love yall girls. I was so lucky to be blessed with so much patience and understanding.
To the police department… sorry for all the crap, but I am finally getting out of yalls hair. Thank you to the officers that protected my employees all these years. Yall are the best.
Last but not least. The amazing men at the fire department. Thank you so much for being some of my favorite customers and friends. Thank you so much for the laughs. Maybe yall will miss us one day. 😂
