Hi everyone, it's Maria!

I would like to thank all of the customers that have supported Girasol Cafe during our 16 years of service. Like everything else, all great things come to an end, and for us, that time is now; due to some difficult circumstances.

I have seen so many young children who came in and out of the store grow up and become adults, get married, get their college degrees, and go out into the working world.Every time one would come back and visit I was always so happy to see them!

I will miss each and every one of you so much. I will always carry all of the children, their parents, and our loyal and wonderful customers in my heart. I will forever see the smiling faces of the little ones in my mind and think fondly of them. I will always cherish the kind words of so many friends. I have made enough great memories to last a lifetime. Thank you all so much! I love you all, stay safe! ❤️🙏🌻❤️

It has been 16 years since we first took over Girasol Cafe. We have seen children grow and other businesses come and go. We have made many new friends and have seen the area around us expand and get bigger and better.

It has also been 6 months since we closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have taken a significant financial hit and there doesn't seem to be a good way to get our operation up and running properly in the near future.

Because of this, and also because of some other issues that have arisen in the last few months, we are announcing that we will be closing permanently.

While this is an announcement we wish we didn't have to make, we are glad we got to serve many of you over the last 16 years.

And as long as there's an oven around, Maria will continue to make her cookies... so stick around for some possible future announcements!

An update for our customers:

We've been closed for exactly two months now because of the coronavirus. While we've taken a significant financial hit, the safety of our staff and customers will always come first.

Over the next few weeks, we will begin plans on how and when we will reopen. While our hours and menu will be limited at first, and we will offer carryout only, we will continue to offer the same great service in a safe environment for all our customers.

We will update again soon with a tentative reopening date.
