This season can feel full for teachers in the best ways and the busiest ways.

To celebrate the end of the school year, we’re giving away five early preview visits to the Elderslie flower patch before it officially opens to the public. Each selected teacher will receive two you-pick bouquets to gather during a quiet morning at the farm.

The preview will take place on Saturday, May 23 from 9–11 AM.

A small shift in rhythm at the Bramble Café:

Starting this weekend, the Café will no longer be open on Sundays. Through May 27, Café service will continue Saturdays only before expanding to Wednesday–Saturday service for the summer season.

The farm itself remains open to be enjoyed. Pick up goodies, drinks, and picnic provisions from The Market at Elderslie, spread out a blanket, or settle in at one of our outdoor tables and stay awhile. We love to see families and friends out enjoying our space, even when we're not operating the Cafe.

However this day finds you — celebrating, remembering, grieving, or simply gathering — you’re welcome here.

Grace Gardens will be set up near the Café beginning at 10:00 AM with fresh-cut bouquets available until sold out. We’ll also have simple make-and-take offerings for kids to create something special for mom.

The property is open for walking, lingering, and slowing down together. The Market will be stocked with bundled gifts, baked goods, prepared foods, and everyday staples — open daily and self-serve.

Field Update: A little windy out in the flower patch today… but that’s spring in Kansas for you.

George shared a quick look at how everything is growing. We’re only a couple of weeks away from opening the patch for you-pick flowers, and the first blooms are getting closer every day!

Zinnias, snapdragons, greenery, and eventually sunflowers are all on the way. We can’t wait to welcome you out to wander the rows and build a bouquet of your own.

Blossom Fest
Saturday, May 2 | 8 AM – 1 PM

Berry Ferry rides will be running throughout the morning — a short ride out to the brambles for a closer look at the early blooms.

Once you arrive, you’re welcome to walk the rows and explore the surrounding landscape at your own pace.

$6 per rider, boarding near the Market.

Blossom Fest is here—and with it, we are officially in season!

Join us this Saturday, May 2nd from 8am–1pm as the farm comes alive with all the best parts of spring:

Live music - Local vendors - Petting zoo - Berry Ferry - Bramble Café

We’re especially excited for this year’s vendor lineup, featuring local makers, growers, and young entrepreneurs bringing thoughtful, community-rooted goods.

- Pathfinders Makers Market — a local homeschool group of young entrepreneurs sharing handmade goods

- Grace Gardens Flower Farm — seasonal, locally grown flower bouquets from a husband and wife team

- Prairie Creek Farm and Apiary— honey and hive-based products from down the road in Sedgwick

- Handmade by Evangelyn — on-trend pouches and bags made from thrifted textiles

- DogMa316 — a home bakery offering grain, gluten, and egg-free treats for pets

- Friends of Kechi Park — a community-led initiative reimagining play with a new playground designed by local kids

We’re celebrating Blossom Fest (May 2nd | 8AM–1PM) — a sweet kickoff to blackberry season and spring on the farm
