📖 STORYTIME: One of my favorite memories running Cole's Custom Cheesecakes isn't about cheesecake at all...
It's watching Mama Jones at the farmers market. 💜
Week after week, I get a front-row seat to something truly special. I watch her encourage complete strangers like they've been family forever.
I remember one young lady who shared that she was preparing for a beauty pageant. By the end of their conversation, Mama Jones had her believing she could one day compete for Miss Universe. She simply smiled and said, "With God, anything is possible. Believe in yourself because you are beautiful and wonderfully made."
I watch her stop to speak blessings over little children, reminding their parents that they are precious gifts from God.
I watch her stop to thank our local police officers, often taking a moment to pray for their safety as they serve our communities each day.
I watch her greet every vendor with a warm "Good morning!" and a smile that can brighten even the busiest market morning.
I watch the hugs. The prayers. The encouragement. The love.
This is the Mama Jones that our Cheesecake Family has come to know. But I have the incredible blessing of calling her Mom.
People often ask what makes Cole's Custom Cheesecakes different. Yes, we make every cheesecake with love. But the greatest ingredient in our business has always been the people behind it. Grandma Rubye gave us the recipes and the legacy. Mama Jones reminds us every single day that the sweetest thing we can offer isn't just dessert—it's kindness, hope, and making someone feel seen.
I never take these moments for granted.
