Spent the morning in the apiary with my mom Shepherds Abundance Homestead Faith Younger Snyder. It’s been almost three weeks since we did a full inspection 🫣 but it ended up being perfect timing because we actually had a hive with 2 queens🫪 We found them both marked her (couldn’t find my white marker) and did yet another split into a nuc box. But as we were splitting I caught a video of the new queen piping- the high pitched sound she’s making 💛💛

Happy Monday! Just a heads up- now that the school year is over I will be baking and restocking Pinehurst Country Creations on Wednesday afternoons and baking for Music in the Park on Thursdays starting June 18th. Preorders will be accepted until Monday evenings for either bake day! It’s one less day bread is in Pinehurst but it cuts down on my kitchen/drive time drastically 😅

Busy weekend of our first ADGA show of the year and checking in on the hives. Both my kids competed in showmanship and the regular competition with Nana Shepherds Abundance Homestead. And my little guy came down to the bee yard while mom and Nana did a walkaway split on a bustlin hive. A full weekend before our family vacation 💛 🌴🌊☀️
