Who are Trail Dogs?

Trail Dogs is a family-owned and operated hot dog cart based in Kennebunk, Maine. One day Kim impulsively said to Tom, “Let’s start a hot dog cart,” and Tom responded, “THAT WILL BE FUN,” and there you have it. The birth of what would become the hottest hot do**in' stand in Southern Maine.

Originally from “The County,” Tom and Kim wanted their branding to represent their Northern Maine roots. They’re inspired by their love of the outdoors, snowmobiling, Maine’s famous trail signposts, and hunter orange.

Tom & Kim set out with a mission to provide customers with an Elevated and quality hot dog Experience. They sell only Local and Premium hot dogs made by Shields Meats and Produce based in Kennebunk, ME. You have never tasted hot dogs like these before.

Based on their experience serving at events, they also have been known to customize their menu and feature delicious hamburgers, Italian sausages, and other foods that embody a true Maine hot dog experience.

To date, Trail Dogs has showcased their hot do**in'magic during Christmas Prelude in Kennebunk, The Pilot House in Kennebunk, Fore River Brewing in South Portland, NU Brewery in New Gloucester, and Maine Craft Distillery's 1st Annual Dog Show in Portland, ME.

Let the hot do**in' begin! Hot dogs are an essential part of summer fun — or anytime.
