Emma and I took a little trip down to Brewability & Pizzability in Englewood, Co. to see Drawings by Trent for a meet and greet. It was so fun to see him. Trent and his family stopped by the coffee shop once while in Atlanta. So of course we had to come support! I loved chatting up the workers with special needs. It’s always great to see another example of inclusion out in the wild. ❤️🍕

So many of our former baristas enjoyed the BEST night at Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine! It’s one of my nights of the year to experience the joy that fills the auditorium. 💞

So often we are asked, "Do you know about Independent Grounds in Kennesaw?" Of course, we do! Independent Grounds Cafe opened to provide a supportive work environment to those in the Kennesaw area where the abilities of those with an IDD can be celebrated.

We had the privilege to meet Lorna Heid, the owner of Independent Grounds, last week. A bittersweet meeting, as Independent Grounds closes. We gratefully purchased and picked up some of their restaurant equipment for our second location, Flourish Cafe. Lorna, we can't thank you enough.

We will continue to carry on the mission of both Independent Grounds and Circle of Friends: to provide a safe and inclusive place for our friends with disabilities in the area. Lorna, thank you for your work in making Kennesaw just a little bit brighter and more inclusive! Best of luck to you on your next adventure.
