Do you know? Familia Schröder found dinosaur fossils while they were building their winery in Patagonia.
The story of the winery, called Familia Schröder (Schröder Family) began in 1927. Hermann Schröder emigrated from Germany to Argentina to work in the wine industry. In 2001, his son, also named Hermann, with the help of his 2 sons, decided to build a winery that would be known as Familia Schröder. During the construction, they discovered the bones of a sauropod dinosaur that was named Panamericansaurus schroederi in 2010. Their Pinot Noir was named Saurus in honor of its discovery, with the skeleton of the dinosaur as its icon.
