When is change good? When is change bad? These are the questions that I have been contemplating over the past 6 months or so. We at D-N-R Catering have been serving people here in Mid-west Michigan for about 13 years. Ric Slater and I started this little venture cooking at events at our church "Kent City Baptist Church". People kept encouraging us to start catering parties, weddings, graduation parties and more. Joe Davis asked us do his and Cassie's wedding and off we went. Our first wedding and over 300 people to feed, ham, chicken, cubed red cheesy potatoes that took us over 14 hours to peel, cut into cubes, cut out all of the bad spots, green beens, rolls and salad. With help from our home fellowship group we were able to pull it off.
Then we added Nathan Obenauf to our team. We started doing more and more events, mostly from people from church. We served things like prime rib, beef and pork tenderloin, pork steaks, Swiss steak, roasts, BRISKET, tons of chicken in many variety of ways. We did burgers, hotdogs, brats, mac-n-cheese *Sam's*, cheesy, roasted and baked potatoes and many types of salads.
We have taken our time to serve everyone with respect, with the love of Jesus, great quality food at very reasonable prices, with the best service we can. We have met some very good people over the years and have created a lifetime of memories and I/we have never heard of or had anyone unsatisfied with our service. I (Doug Krueger) want thank everyone who has worked with us at any of our events, we could have never pulled off any of this without any of you.
As of today we will be shutting down D-N-R Catering and our page.
Ric and Nate thank you for all of the years we got to hang out serving others. I am proud to call you my friends and my brothers in Christ. God has definitely blessed us.
I (Doug) will be making a big change to my life with my son Jeremy. We will be doing full time food service and catering. I have purchased a brand new food trailer and will be getting it the first week of April. As of this week, we are recognized by the state of Michigan as;
Bonhomie Catering and Food Service LLC. This is an exciting change, (possibly a little nervous), but it's also another way for Jesus to use Jeremy and I to share Jesus with more people. You can expect the same great quality and service that we always have.
I want to invite everyone of you who have followed us over all of these years, to continue to follow us and to give us a big thumbs up 👍.
God bless all of you who pushed me to be the best I can be and for loving us the way you have.
I will shutting this page down tomorrow and starting up the Bonhomie site on Monday. 😒
Once again,
on to change and to making even more memories, thank you all!! 🙏🙏
