Hi my fellow Wanderers
I’m Kels. The owner of The Wandering Quill.
I come to you with bittersweet news- I have made the decision to close The Wandering Quill on January 31st.
I’m not sure what the future holds for myself in the bookish community, but I am eternally grateful to have met some of the most amazing Authors, vendors, and event coordinators while running this business.
To my followers and regulars- if I can leave you with one thing- please continue to buy your books (and coffee) from local stores. It is imperative to our communities that you support local. For you bookish needs please visit Danielle will take the best care of you and will encourage you to build your tbr.
For your coffee needs please visit or anywhere that serves a vignette roast. You will get a similar flavor to what you are use to with us.

These decisions are not easy. It has been fun, stressful and all of the emotions, but best of all every one of you have made this business so special. Thank you for that.
Until the 31st- I hope you will come by Short Street Bakehouse, get another cup of coffee and one more book.

The Novel Brew Crew is a monthly book club where great books meet great brews. Hosted at Short Street Bakehouse, this club celebrates indie authors across all genres—from romantasy to horror, sci-fi to contemporary fiction.

Each session includes:
• 📚 Signed copies available for members
• ✍️ Author meet-and-greets or live Q&As (when available)
• ☕️ Curated drinks from The Wandering Quill
• 🍪 Snacks from Short Street Bakehouse
• 🤝 A warm, inclusive space for readers to connect, gush, debate, and discover new favorites
