Friday. July 24 from 5-7pm at Vecinos Cafe 804 Water St. in downtown Kerrville.

Bill Makho and Clifton Fifer providing live music by donation for Taqueria Jalisco. All proceeds from Vecinos Cafe between 5-7pm will be donated as well.

Plenty of parking. Everyone is encouraged to come by and donate to the rebuilding efforts for Taqueria Jalisco.

If you’ve never been to Vecinos Cafe, it’s casual, friendly and the patio is nice when the sun sets a little these days. Please support our amigos and vecinos Perla and Diego!

JOIN US Friday 5-7pm vecinos_cafe for BILL MAKHO and friends benefit concert for Taqueria Jalisco Kerrville ! Their restaurant was destroyed in last week’s flood and the community has come out to help muck it out but they need more help.

Please come by and all donations will go directly to Diego and Perla to reopen Taqueria Jalisco.

Tucked inside Kerrville Health Foods on Water Street, the Carrot Patch Cafe has been a quiet favorite for anyone seeking fresh sandwiches, salads, and organic smoothies. The store itself carries a carefully curated selection of health foods, supplements, and natural products that health-conscious locals have relied on for years.

The flood hit them hard, and the owner is now facing some difficult decisions about next steps. Right now, the most immediate need is boxes and hands to help pack up inventory that may need to be moved or sold. If you can help, please reach out or drop off boxes directly at the store.

Last night we walked down Town Creek Rd. behind our house near the soccer fields. The bridge is gone so we couldn’t get all the way through.

I took this pic of Gerardo. He walked ahead of me, anxious to see it all. The road is gone. Just pieces scattered. It’s unrecognizable. So much sand and silt. It looks like a beach and all we could hear was water flowing.

Our neighbors are helping each other and volunteers are so compassionate. This area is going to take a lot of work. We’re here to help. We’re here to stay! Thank you to everyone who has reached out, stopped by and called to check on us. Neighbors are a priority. If anyone needs anything please reach out and we’ll help connect you with resources that we are aware of.

We’re right there with you Kerrville. We can’t believe this is happening again so soon. Thank you to everyone who checked on us, offered lodging for us and took the time to pray for Kerr County.

We took yesterday off to reset and restock and we’re ready to serve you.

Rain continues as I am posting from the Pavilion across from the vecinos_cafe in downtown Kerrville, TX. The heavy rain will arrive later today and tomorrow and I’ll post again this afternoon. The cafe is closed today as usual on Wednesdays.

Guadalupe River at 5pm at the Pavilion across from vecinos_cafe in downtown Kerrville, TX. Many people asked for location details. The rain has stopped for now and the water has receded. The little bridge is walkable but there is debris. More rain tonight. I’ll post an update in the morning. 🙏

The cafe is closed on Wednesdays so we’ll see you Thursday.

This is what it looks like now. The little bridge is getting flooded. The water is on the Louise Hays RiverTrail. More rain is expected throughout the day and tonight. I will post at 5pm. This is across the street from vecinos_cafe at the Pavilion overlooking Louise Hays Park.
