Did you know shipwreck salvaging helped build the history and economy of Key West? 🏝️

Long before Key West became a world-famous vacation destination, shipwreck salvaging was one of the backbones of the economy.

Divers and wreckers recovered valuable treasures, cargo, and goods from ships that ran aground along the treacherous Florida Reef, helping shape Key West's early economy. ⚓️💰
