To all family, friends, coworkers, colleagues, drag racing competitors, restaurant customers and loved John Bealeces of John Beale ….. I’m saddened to announce he has gone home to rest high on that mountain in the loving arms of our Lord.
John Beale, 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 21, 2025 in Kingman AZ. He was born in Hastings, NE on September 1, 1945. As a boy, John set his sights on becoming a farmer. This was until the family decided to move to CA.
This is where his eyes were opened to football, wrestling, track & field, and powerlifting while attending Helix High School. Two years later, he moved to Kingman, AZ to finish his final years of high school at Kingman High where he held the shot putt record for 20 years! And despite Kingman High not having a wrestling team at the time, he wrestled at the State Championships. He continued his pursuit of sports until a football injury set him back. After graduating in 1964, he joined the Air Force in 1965. He spent 6 months in the military and was proud of his contribution to the defense of our country.
John quickly found his passion for cars and racing as soon as was able to drive. He also combined his love for cars and sales. No one will ever know the amount of classic cars he’s owned. He also was able to manage, operate and own several restaurants through the years. Including Granpa’s Kitchen, operating in Kingman. His love of cars and restaurants enabled him to form lifelong relationships and friendships with a countless number of people in Kingman and beyond.
John and Patricia were married from 1965-1972 having 3 sons, Shaun, Eric, and Kevin
He later married Gerri from the mid 70’s to the late 80’s. They moved around a little bit from Kingman, Miami, and San Diego.
Later, in the 90’s, he met Donna and were together until her passing.
John dedicated himself to the helping of people surrounding him. Whether they were family, friends, employees, or car enthusiasts, he left behind a legacy of care for others. He also loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, with all his heart.
He is survived by his son, Shaun, and John’s sister Patty. He is also survived by 6 granddaughters; Heather, Jasmine, Summer, Leilani, Lexi and Kassi along with his grandson Kris. And great grandchildren; David, Theodore and Penelope. He is also loved by his numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 8, 2026, at 5pm at Grandpa’s Kitchen. We invite all who know and loved John to join us in honoring his memory.
