Baltimore Union Soccer Club Proudly Announces Gunpowder Lodge as Our Official Restaurant Sponsor

Baltimore Union Soccer Club is excited to announce that Gunpowder Lodge Restaurant (GPL) has joined our club as our Official Restaurant Sponsor for the coming year.

Former professional player & GPL Owner Danny Santoro is a passionate supporter of the game and understands the value of community, teamwork, and family. We are truly grateful for Danny’s generosity and commitment to supporting Baltimore Union Soccer Club and our players.

As part of this partnership, Gunpowder Lodge will serve as the home for many of our club meetings, social gatherings, and special events throughout the year, giving our Baltimore Union family a great place to connect away from the field.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Bobby Mezzadra.
At Gunpowder Lodge, we’ve always prided ourselves on being more than just a bar, but a family. That family goes beyond just our employees and their families, but our valued patrons such as Bobby. His presence not only brought laughter and comfort, but a sense of “home” to everyone who walked through our doors. Bobby’s passing leaves a void that only he could fill. From his favorite Skrewball shots, to the music he played religiously on our jukebox, down to his seat at the end of our bar—these will be memories we hold onto.
In true Bobby fashion, we were given his beloved Storm Trooper and Winnie the Pooh figurines, where they will always have a home.
We love you, Bobby, and will miss the energy you brought every time you stepped foot in this bar. Please keep Bobby’s family, friends, and our GPL family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Winnie the Pooh says it best: “A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey left inside.” ❤️ And as always … Roll Tide 🐘❤️
