On my way to start my first official day back.

I can’t even put into words what this moment feels like.

After everything it took to get here — the setbacks, the delays, the long days, the sleepless nights, the obstacles, and the moments where I had to keep believing even when nothing was going the way I planned — today I’m walking back into BurgerBoys for my first official day back.

This isn’t just reopening a restaurant.
This is a comeback.

There are still a couple of things left to finish inside before we open the dining room, including the supporter wall and a few other final touches. So today, we will be drive-thru only.

I also want to be clear: I’m not just going to fill spots just to say they’re filled.

BurgerBoys means too much to me, and our customers mean too much to me. Until I find the right people, I’m going to keep the operation controlled and make sure we do this the right way.

The dining room should be open by Friday, once everything is ready and in place.

What a journey.

There were a lot of days where most people would have walked away, but I kept believing, kept pushing, and kept showing up.

Today, Burger Boys received another major approval with our Certificate of Occupancy officially issued for our new location at 3000 Broadway.

This comeback has tested me in every way, but it also reminded me why I started. Burger Boys was built on faith, hard work, great food, and a community that never stopped believing.

Knoxville, we’re getting close.

Not just a burger… a real Burger Boys burger. 🍔🔥

Knoxville, we are looking to open BurgerBoys on July 6th.

The building is ready — now we’re just making sure everything is working smoothly before we open the doors.

We’re using this final stretch to test our systems, finish training, get our team in place, and make sure we are prepared to serve you the right way from day one.

For everyone who supported BurgerBoys, I will be notifying you shortly on when you can stop in and receive your eGift card. I can’t actually send them out until we go live, but I have met a very nice gentleman named Dillon who will be assisting me through the process to make sure everyone receives their certificate.

This has been a long road, and I can’t thank everyone enough for the support, patience, comments, shares, and excitement.

July 6th is the goal. BurgerBoys is almost back. 🍔🔥

We will be holding open interviews this Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM to 3 PM.
We are looking for dependable, respectful, hard-working individuals who take pride in their work, their appearance, and how they treat customers.

Positions may include kitchen, prep, cashier, drive-thru, dining room support, and shift leadership.

Please come prepared, be presentable, and ready to fill out an application.

who is really good with computers and restaurant systems.

I need help getting our eGift cards created and ready for customers through our Toast system. I already have everything set up in Toast — it’s just a matter of getting everything finalized, tested, and ready to
share with our customers.

This is a paid job, and I’m looking for someone dependable who knows what they’re doing and can help get it done the right way.

Final stretch Knoxville! 💪🍔🍟

We're now working through the punch-out list and finishing up all the little details that turn a construction project into a restaurant.

The exterior signage is going up, the drive-thru menu board has arrived, equipment is being installed, and every day another item gets checked off the list.
The big things are important, but it's the small details that make the difference. Right now, we're focused on making sure everything is done right before we open the doors.

I want to thank everyone for your patience, encouragement, and support throughout this journey. Seeing BurgerBoys come back to life has been an incredible experience, and we're almost there.

I would like to take a moment to congratulate Jackie’s Dream on her beautiful new restaurant located downtown on Jackson.

I love hearing stories like this. I just mentioned a few posts ago that when you want something bad enough, and you believe in yourself enough, no one can stop you.

Jackie is a true example of that. If you’re looking for a great homemade meal made with love, this is definitely the place you want to go.

Good morning Knoxville!

Another big piece of the puzzle is on its way—the new BurgerBoys drive-thru menu board has been completed and shipped!
Between the exterior signage, dining room improvements, supporter wall, equipment installations, and now the drive-thru menu board, BurgerBoys is starting to look like BurgerBoys again.

Every day brings us one step closer to opening the doors and serving the food you've been asking for.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, shared our posts, purchased certificates, and believed in this comeback. This restaurant truly has been built by the community.

Good evening Knoxville!

Just wanted to give everyone a quick BurgerBoys update.
The exterior logo is coming to life, the dining room has taking shape, equipment is being installed, and our "Built By The Community" support wall is almost ready to be finalized.

Every day the vision becomes a little more real. What was once a vacant building is now starting to look and feel like BurgerBoys.

I can't thank this community enough for the encouragement, support, and belief you've shown throughout this journey. There have been challenges along the way, but seeing everything come together makes every obstacle worth it.

We're not finished yet, but we're getting closer every single day.
