Berry Kemp, the former owner of Artmosphere, created a venue that not only houses a nonstop string of regionally-touring indie rock bands that are building names for themselves, but also gives up-and-coming local indie bands a pl

atform to peddle their wares. The venue also houses a weekly open mic night to encourage first-timers to take the stage and take the leap. The Artmosphere formula is an inspired one, and the musical melange that arises is both exciting and experimental, thrilling and forward-thinking. Bands are able to experiment with sounds, genres, influences and even performance styles in search of their musical identity. Artmosphere is an open door to discovering something new.
