Lake Forest in spring arrives with a certain conviction. The inn, having been here for for nearly a century, meets it in kind.⁠

Something shifts. The light arrives at a different angle. The vines find their way back. The garden, which has been making quiet promises since February, begins to deliver on them. The sky settles into the kind of blue that makes you stop whatever you were doing and look up.⁠
