When designing the concept for Jefe, we took inspiration from many of our favorite places. One major inspiration was San Diego. My sister was going to college there so our family made frequent trips to see her. Naturally, we went to as many cool taquerias and Mexican restaurants as we could during our visits.

We like to think that Jefe’s Fish Tacos can compete with the Baja style fish tacos we’ve eaten in SD over the years (our favorites coming from Oscar’s in PB). Ours are made with locally caught Oregon Rockfish, mango salsa, chipotle aioli and purple cabbage.

The heart and soul of Jefe is our bar program and we are taking that literally for this year’s Valentines Day drinks. Justin and the team are making little heart shaped lemon garnishes + a vodka hibiscus tincture we turn into foamy hearts. How cute.
