Learn the process of proper milk steaming alongside step-by-step techniques for pouring latte art.

Class attendees will have the opportunity to steam milk and pour latte art with assistance from the instructor, Elaina, accompanied by several demonstrations of pouring technique.

Attendees are encouraged to have some experience steaming milk, but the course is open to all!

Todos Santos // A growing group of around 275 women otherwise known as "Mujeres luchando por un mejor futuro" (women fighting for a better future). Ten years ago they formed the association and have been doing great things within their community ever since. Not only have they created a fund to help each other's projects, but they've worked together to diversify their agricultural industry, opening new lines of income. They've also worked hard to improve their knowledge and practice of growing coffee. We are grateful to be able to share the fruit of their labor with you!

Fresh off the grind the aromatics are toffee sweet. The cup is clean and we are tasting everything from peach to crisp apple, all wrapped up an a caramel sweetness. If you like sweet balanced coffees from Central America, it's easy to feel good about, and hard to go wrong with this special lot.

José Argüello // We are honored to share this special lot! José acquired his farm, Finca Santa Cruz, eight years ago and works alongside his sister Karina. Together they are doing amazing things within the community - like planning to open a cafe to share their own coffee alongside other producers in the area. More than half of their land has been preserved as forest and is part of the world renowned Reserva de la Biósfera El Triunfo Verde. The care they show for the land, their coffee and the community around them shines through in this super tasty natural processed lot.

Fresh off the grind you will find intensely sweet fruit aromatics. In the cup we are tasting everything from mango to raspberry to cherry to guava, all wrapped up in a sweet chocolatey mid-tone. If you love clean, sweet, fruit forward coffees, this one is hard to beat!

Embu Lot #2 // Excellent coffee from Kenya in general is known for big sweetness and loads of acidity backed up with a full body and Embu Lot #2 is no exception. Fresh off the grind the aromatics are intense and cola sweet. Sugary goodness carries over into the cup as well and is joined by notes of plum and a pleasant vanilla mid-tone. If you've been loving our other selections from Kenya this year, Embu lot #2 will not disappoint!

Arbey Cordoba // Though Arbey has been growing coffee for a quarter of a century now, he only recently turned to focussing on specialty. We are so glad he did because this gem is bursting with tropical fruit notes and sweetness!

Fresh off the grind the aromatics are intense and fruit forward with notes of ripe mango. Mango transfers to the cup as well and is joined by dark fruit notes like bing cherry and more tropical fruits like pineapple and passion fruit. Wrap all of this up in a fuller yet juicy body and big sweetness and you will be enjoying a very special cup of coffee. Grab a bag quick - this lot is small and won't be around long!

Migration 9.0 // This delicious blend from Kenya & Ethiopia is great for cold brew or any other way you choose to brew!

Migration 9.0 is a blend of a coffee from the Kiambu region of Kenya, and the Guji region, Ethiopia. Kiambu weighs in at 66.6% of the blend and brings dark fruit notes and loads of toffee-like sweetness. The Guji adds a layer of complexity with floral and citrus fruits. Put them together and we are tasting plum, blood orange and sweetness for days. If you are a cold brew lover - definitely give this blend a go. And if you love coffees from East Africa, this is a killer blend for drip and espresso. Enjoy!

Odo Shakiso // Another sweet floral and citrus gem from the birthplace of coffee!

Our second selection from Ethiopia for the season hails from the Guji region of Ethiopia. This grade 1 lot is produced by growers in and around the district of Odo Shakiso who bring their harvests to the washing station where they are graded and processed.

As with all great washed coffees from Ethiopia, expect loads of sweet floral aromatics fresh off the grind. Florals carry over into the cup and are joined by flavors of peach and mandarin and wrapped up in a sugarcane sweetness - a lovely delicate cup for these warmer days!
