🏅 **SWEET NEWS FROM ASBURY PARK!** 🗽

Nine months of training, 26.2 miles, and **$4,135 raised for an incredible cause!**

Congratulations to **Nick Mennie**, son of Robin and Carl Mennie, owners of River Street Sweets® Asbury Park, on completing his FIRST NYC Marathon in **5:36:18!**

Proudly sponsored by our Asbury Park location, Nick ran in support of **Team for Kids**, helping make sports, exercise, and healthy activities more accessible to children.

For Nick, the mission is personal. Despite playing sports growing up, he didn't fully develop his own healthy fitness habits until adulthood. He hopes more children will have those opportunities earlier in life.

As Nick shared:

"I think with more outreach for kids who may not have opportunities to participate in can help shape their lives for the better!"

Nick is already looking ahead to his next marathon and a faster finish!

What started as a sweet tradition became something truly meaningful.

Over the past decade, our annual Pralines Day campaign supported Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia's Kids Cafe program, helping provide 556,899 meals to children in need. With just $1 providing 5 meals, every act of generosity made a difference.

Our owners, Jennifer and Tim Strickland, alongside Kelley Cale, VP of Marketing & Corporate Sales, were honored to celebrate this incredible milestone with Miriam Langley, CEO of Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, Stephania Brown, Director of Marketing & Communications, and their dedicated team.
