Built by Morris Terry in 1958, The LaPlace Frostop has become a fixture on Airline Hwy (US 61) in LaPlace, Louisiana. Terry leased out the restaurant until 1973 when his daughter Evelyn, and her husband Jimmie Toler, took over. Even though The LaPlace Frostop has completed two renovations, the first in 1981 and again in 1996, it has retained its old-fashioned, drive-in atmosphere. Today, The LaPla

For years, weโ€™ve used ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—น ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ป-๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ธ๐˜€ for our homemade root beer. When the soft drink industry switched to ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ด-๐—ถ๐—ป-๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜… ๐˜€๐˜†๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—บ๐˜€ in the 1990s, those tanks stopped being made.

At one time, we had ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜ ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป of them. Weโ€™ve ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—บ ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜€, repairing and replacing them when we could. Today weโ€™re down to ๐—ท๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜ ๐˜๐˜„๐—ผ, and even refurbished tanks are becoming harder and harder to find.

So it was finally time for our first ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜„ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜‚๐˜€ (๐—–๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐˜†) ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ด. By staying with the ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ป-๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐˜€๐˜†๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—บ, it works with our existing setup, so there was no need to change any of our connectors.
