For many travelers driving Historic Airline Highway, the giant rotating root beer mug at LaPlace Frostop is a sign they've found something rare.
A real American drive-in, still serving burgers, onion rings, and frosty mugs of homemade root beer just like it has since 𝟭𝟵𝟱𝟴.
Over the years, we've welcomed guests from across Louisiana, across the United States, and even from around the world.
Preserving a place doesn't mean leaving it unchanged.
It means protecting what matters while continuing to improve it. That's how places survive long enough to become traditions.
After Hurricane Ida damaged our famous rotating mug, we made the decision to rebuild it. Not just as a sign, but as a commitment to keeping this piece of roadside history spinning for the next generation.
For 𝟲𝟴 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, that's exactly what we've tried to do, preserving what makes the LaPlace Frostop special while continuing to invest in its future.
