Today is the only day this week that we are open. A vacation was calling our name and we responded. But don’t worry, we will be doing some gift card giveaways while we are out and about, so keep an eye on our adventure for your chance to snag one.

We need to shout out Amber and Marty Pottebaum for saving us on Friday morning on our way into chuds when our cheeseburger car ran out of Mustard sauce and died in the side of the road. They quickly jumped into action and grabbed the ketchup bottle can at chuds (which we had originally borrowed from them anyways) and found us a mile away from chuds. They got us back up and running so all you fine folks could enjoy some grub on time.

Then on Saturday night, Dan returned the Pottebaums kindness to Sue, and she shared this statement below.

…. This comment is for everyone who has been to Chuds, or has yet to try!!! I have not eaten here yet, but I definitely intend to!! Not only because nine thousand followers can't be wrong, but because the young couple that owns this bar and grill stopped to help me last night after I had a flat tire on the road at just before ten o'clock!! They were on their way home to Sioux, falls, with their little family, when they were kind enough to spin their hamburger car around to check to see if I needed help!! Dan was happily changing my tire when we discovered that my donut had some kind of wire tag stuck into it, and had a slow leak as well. They offered to have me come to their restaurant and we were going to try to glue it. It was only about a 1/2 mile away, but the little tag flew out of the donut on the way there, and so we had no way to determine where the leak was. It was getting dark and we finally decided I should try to make it home and just air it up in every town on the way home. I had quite a ways to go, as I live in Orange City. I was praying to make it to Sioux Center to get to Walmart for a tire repair kit before they closed at 11 o'clock and I made it with just a few minutes to spare!! Because of these two wonderful young people , I was able to make it home safely, and I am so grateful!! As Dan was trying to figure out my situation, his wife Kellie and I chatted and had such a wonderful connection!! I even got to cuddle their sweet little pup, which was also a gift for me!!! So when you go to this bar & grill and get delicious food, know also that you are being served by some truly good and kind people!!! I thank you both from the bottom of my heart. Not only for your kindness, but helping to restore my faith in humanity!!….Sue Reagan
