Jared Bafaro, owner of The Tailored Tea, is firm in his commitment to family and history. Serving delicious home-cooked treats to his guests upon his beloved collection of vintage and antique china and linens in the oldest farmhouse in the Town of Colonie (formerly the Town of Watervliet), only serves to validate his dedication. The warmth therein and provided by the staff lends itself to a familiar comfort for the guests, removing the feel and commercialism of dining.

As the sun sets on the Tailored Tea one last time I can’t help remember all the great times, amazing people and a few ghostly mishaps that has happened over the past 12 years I’ve been here. I’ve worked with so many great people and became friends with most of them. Got to cook, serve and make many of our guests happy with our food and laugh with our humor. I will forever treasure those who have helped the Tea house stay open for as long as we did. It was a pleasure getting to know most of the people who have come through those 220 year old doors and I hope I get to run into you again in the future. May you all enjoy the spring and never forget. When in doubt…. Pinky out. Cheers and we all will miss you.

Last day today. We will run out of food at some point today just not sure when. I will call what ever reservations we would still have to let them know but today is going to be a very interesting last day

Just a heads up. We are fully booked the whole week. If you haven’t gotten a reservation in by now we won’t be able to accommodate. However we do still offer take out if that works for you. Sorry for any inconvenience.
