🍂❤️ **A LITTLE REMINDER ABOUT RESPECTING OTHER FAMILIES ❤️🍂**

The holiday season is here, and I find myself explaining to so many people why our family doesn’t celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Easter, or even Thanksgiving.

I know some people may not agree with our choices, and I may catch some slack for sharing this, but this is what **we have decided is best for our family**, and we stand by that decision.

Does that mean we judge other families for celebrating these holidays? **Absolutely not!** What your family chooses to celebrate is your business, just as what our family chooses not to celebrate is ours.

If someone asks us why, we are happy to explain our reasons. We don’t mind having respectful conversations about our beliefs and the choices we make for our children.

But what we won’t do is make others feel bad for their choices, and we ask for that same respect in return. Our children shouldn’t be questioned, made to feel different, or given a hard time because our family does things differently.

**Different doesn’t mean wrong. Different doesn’t mean judgment. And different doesn’t mean we love our children any less or want them to miss out on life.**

There are many reasons families choose not to participate in certain holidays. You may not understand someone else’s reasons, and that’s okay. You don’t have to agree with someone to respect them.

❤️ **Teach your children to be kind to those who are different from them. Teach them to ask questions with an open mind instead of making assumptions. And remember that every family has the right to make decisions based on their own beliefs and values.**

We respect your family’s choices. All we ask is that you respect ours.

At the end of the day, we can all do a little better at showing grace, kindness, and understanding to one another. ❤️🙏
