We just wrapped up our second-to-last processing event of the year (next up: November 14), and we are tired! 😅
Chicken processing is a full-day, full-weekend, all-hands-on-deck family affair. From setting up and processing to cleaning up, hosing everything down, cutting, packaging, and getting orders ready for eager customers. The end result is pasture to plate, real food in a day.
No chlorine baths. No antibiotics. No long transport that adds stress and dehydration. No wondering what goes on behind closed doors. Just a good life out on pasture, and nourishing food for people who care about what goes into their food and who raises it.
A huge thank-you to everyone who placed a preorder! One of our favorite part of the job is seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones, at pickups. Your support means a lot to our little family farm.
We’d also be remiss not to thank our incredible crew of volunteers and workers. Processing is never glamorous, and always hard work. But it’s purposeful, meaningful work, and we’re so grateful for everyone who has shown up alongside us, rolled up their sleeves, and helped make it happen.
If you’d like to join us for our final processing of the season, mark your calendar for November 14 and send us a message to get on the list for more details!
