We had the pleasure of knowing and serving Joaquin for many years. He was a joy to serve from our little window on Front St. especially through the COVID shutdowns. He became an (almost) daily regular when we moved Argonaut to our current location on Highway 2.
Knowing and serving our community with kindness is our mission but sometimes there are customers that seem to be on a mission to see us and spread authentic kindness back to us. Joaquin was one of those customers. We are all devastated to lose him way too soon. Joaquin had such a sweet soul. He’d come in with his silly grin and ask for a cortado, always a cortado. How I wish I could make him one more cortado. Oh man buddy, just one more for the road?
We are going to be donating 25% of sales tomorrow (Friday May 1) to the Go Fund Me set up to support his son Kellen. Please come, stop by and cheers Joaquin with us. We will miss him dearly.
