It is with the heaviest heart that I share with you, after 3 years in this amazing community, as a family we have decided to take a step back from our beloved second home- Chef Rick's Global Kitchen (Kento Hibachi Express) and closing the restaurant. We did not come to this decision lightly.
There are so many contributing factors, but one of the biggest is the rising costs of absolutely everything - rent, utilities, labor, ingredients. Even working with local suppliers the costs of everything has doubled if not tripled from when we opened just 3 years ago. Our hearts are filled with sincerest gratitude from this community for showing up and supporting Chef Rick and his family on this journey.
This won't be the last you see of Chef Rick but we need some time to recoup and reconnect as a family.
Please stay tuned and continue to follow this page if you would like to see what is in store for Chef Rick on his next adventure.

A little bit of a different post! We are a drop box site for the Rogue River Summer toy drive for Doernbecher Children’s hospital. The toys go to children who have to undergo difficult procedures or blood draws for their bravery and strength. Please help us replenish their stock! Drop off donations by July 15 at Chef Rick’s!
