Chef Daniel Pasillas is a culinary school graduate from Berkeley, California, whose passion for food started in the kitchen with his mother ❤️
With years of experience in some of the country’s most well-known kitchens, Chef Danny has built his career around one thing: feeding people with heart.
His journey includes:

Alongside Chef Danny, is co-owner Chef Kory Sanderlin, a culinary school graduate from Leland, NC.

But for Chef Danny and Chef Kory, Smash N Dash is about so much more than great food... it’s about community. The Smash N Dash food truck was created as a vessel to feed people, and no one is ever turned away hungry.
That mission is what inspired Bare Necessities of NC, a program built into the heart of the business model and made possible through donations. Its mission is to support communities across eastern North Carolina by helping fund clean drinking water, nutritious food, and affordable safe housing, while also helping connect people with the resources they need.
From the west coast to Wilmington, NC...every smash burger served comes with purpose, passion, and a whole lot of love ❤️🙌
