Of all the things we make with apples 🍎 this caramel apple is one of my favorites!

Apple pie is definitely number 1 though.

As you know it’s rarely quiet enough for when Dini Richards is around but I finally got some for this reel.

We are going to do our last batch of caramel apples for Halloween 🎃 on Saturday as we also wrap up our farmers market season.

This was our first year at a farmers market and we can not express how much it means to be so loved and so well supported by you all. 🩷

We are also very grateful to our local farmers, makers, producers and bakers that have welcomed us into the Shawnee Farmers Market Community. - Oh! And a very special bookstore too!!

We will have the High Tea Boxes ready for pick up on Saturday, May 9th from 11am -2pm in the Jack Henry Parking Lot.

Each box serves 1 person and includes:

- Sweet Scone
- Johnsonshire clotted cream
- Jam
- Cheese and Chive Scone
- Cucumber Sandwiches with our famous Schmear
- Cocktail Croissant - Spinach, Feta and Roasted Red Pepper
- French macaron

It’s really important not to have batter left over. Not just because it’s wasteful but because you get up to no good.

After scooping a mountain of oatmeal cream pies I saved the left over cookie dough. I was thinking about how oatmeal raisin cookies are so divisive, but they are one of my favorites! Just about everyone loves oatmeal chocolate chip though- right? So how would you feel about oatmeal with chocolate covered raisins?

I think they turned out delicious. I would suggest the dark chocolate covered raisins next time. I’m just not that into milk chocolate in my cookies.

They turned out crispy on the edges, chewy chocolate in the middle and the raisins are almost fudgy in texture. This one’s a keeper!
