Today was our 6th Pop up since launching in November. The special menu represented our appreciation and gratitude for all the support and great people we have met that have supported Vanara. You never know who has a love for Indian food :)

Who knew this little bean had so many mighty names:

Vigna mungo, the black gram, urad bean, mash kalai, uzhunnu parippu, ulundu paruppu, minapa pappu, Uddu or black matpe.

Urad is the foundational staple of the Daal Makhani | Daal Bukhara that Vanara Food is preparing for the April 30th Pop Up.

Simmered in the clay oven overnight, the Urad is partnered with ginger, tomato, butter, cream and spices. This is one of Chef's specialities.

Due to the Winter Storm approaching and taking everyone's safety into consideration, we have rescheduled our Pop Up Lunch to Saturday the 26th from 12-2 p.m at Hop Barons Kitchen. Everyone who has placed an order has been sent an email. Please reach out with any questions.
