Normally, I accept payments with debit or credit cards.
Because of issues with cellular coverage which provides the internet to do card transactions, there are areas of my route that have no coverage.
I've had some issues last year, and now again this year with payments that I took in "OFFLINE MODE" which are run once you re-establish a cellular connection/internet connection, and then the transaction is run. I've only been out 2 days so far, and I have 4 transactions that were declined after the purchase when the card was run once the internet connected again.
So, I have no choice but to turn off "OFFLINE MODE" to avoid further losses. This means areas like Lewiston, Rush Creek Estates, and any other area where I cannot establish a connection to verify the purchases will have to be CASH ONLY.
I wanted to make sure to give a heads up to folks who in the past have used cards in these areas.
When you make your purchase, if the system says it cannot confirm the payment, you won't be able to make the purchase.
Our cellular service, even when in Weaverville leaves much to be desired with Verizon as many know. So either the payment shows "approved" or I cannot make the sale unless you can pay with cash.
I am sorry, but I've been left with no choice, and have to make this change to avoid further financial losses.
