Earlier this week we celebrated Jamarcus on his biggest accomplishment yet, high school & academy graduation! We presented him with a beautiful knife set for him to practice his skills in the kitchen. We know they will be well loved and taken care of. ☺️

Yesterday, we attended signing day for our employee, Jamarcus. Signing Day is a celebration for seniors of The Academy that will be graduating with already securing employment within their studies.

Lucky for us, he isn't a new employee to our restaurant. He started working for us in 2024. His first job was as a bus boy/dishwasher. He quickly won the hearts of all our patrons, many asking for him by name and constantly complimenting his kindness and sweet smile. 😃

While he enjoyed being on the floor, he wanted more of a challenge. So next came the salad bar. After some time, he naturally mastered that as well. He says he still makes the prettiest sandwiches, especially clubs! 😜

Next challenge.. line cook. A line cook is arguably the most difficult position in the restaurant. That person leads the whole kitchen while managing their own orders. It is hard. It is exhausting. It is non stop.

Today and for the past six months, this is the job this young man holds. Jamarcus prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner orders on evenings and weekends. He leads our team through the busiest of moments while remaining cool as a cucumber. With a smile on his face and bounce in his step, he is always ready to work and looking for the next challenge to accomplish.

We are SO PROUD of you, Jamarcus! You are an asset to our team and we couldn't be more grateful for you!

In a few short weeks, he will graduate high school and clock in as a full time employee. Please help us congratulate this fella! 🎉
