While we enjoyed taking some time for ourselves, we’re happy to be back and excited to bring you something new. 🖤

The week of All Hallows’ Eve is upon us, and with it comes a new permanent addition to the Bittersweet Alchemy menu:

Pulvis Folii. Meaning “powder of the leaf.” The name refers, in this case, to the green tea leaf. 🍃

For months, we’ve been experimenting with matcha, exploring different varieties and refining our recipes, unwilling to introduce it to our menu until we felt it was nothing short of exceptional.

The matcha we found is of the highest quality and sourced from one of the oldest and most respected tea houses in Kyoto, Japan with over three centuries of knowledge in their craft. We’re thrilled to finally share the results with you, and we hope it exceeds every expectation.

Our special version of the Pulvis Folii for the week of October 26-31 only is…

🍬 Pulvis Folii Confectionery 🍬 A sweet, nutty matcha topped with toasted marshmallow cold foam!

We’ll also be offering a classic matcha latte, with a permanent specialty Pulvis Folii focused menu to follow in the coming weeks.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for the kind words you shared while we were on hiatus last week. We’re grateful to be back, and we can’t wait for you to experience what we’ve been working on.

Our second October special is a little more elegant and subtle. The Shadow Blossom is here but it’s here for one week only (October 12-17). Make sure to ask for it at the window, and share this limited time special with your friends, strangers, and strange-friends.

Just as a reminder, we will be closed from October 19th through the 24th. We will be back on 26th with something that has been in the works for a long time.

It’s October. The weather is finally cooperating, the days are getting darker, and the whole world seems to lean a little more mysterious this time of year.

Which means it’s the perfect time for us to embrace our darker side, show off our moody vibes, and dive headfirst into the weird and obscure.

Throughout October, we’ll be bringing you three new, VERY limited time mystery drinks. Each one available for just a short window before it disappears.

We’re starting with Night-Orchid. A dark and moody latte with a complex flavor profile.

And here’s the catch: Night-Orchid will not be on our physical menu so you’ll have to see this post and ask for it at the window. It’s only available October 1st-10th then it disappears.

Know someone who needs to try it? Share this post with them or even better yet, invite them to follow us so they can see all we are up to. Consider it your invitation into the mystery. 🐦‍⬛

Our next special will be revealed for the following week once this one disappears, so keep your eyes peeled.

And a little heads-up for all of our favorite customers, we will be closed October 19-24th. But don’t worry, we’ll be coming back strong with something extra special for the final week of the month.

Our fall menu isn’t going anywhere, but we simply couldn’t let October pass without creating a few Bittersweet Alchemy specials.
