Thank you to everyone that shared our post for this coming week's schedule! Instead of announcing winners from individuals that shared we are instead moved by Matthew 25 verse 35; For I was hungry and you fed me.

This Tuesday and Thursday we are doing a "pay if you can" setup. If you'd like to pay...then pay. If you can't, or could use the break from the constant opening of your wallet in a time when everything feels expensive...then don't. We are sharing it here and will also write this on our menu board for those that are not on our social media.

Sitting in church this morning it was obvious that we are called to do so much more than "just" serve hotdogs. Please come to the cart regardless or your mental, spiritual, or financial circumstance. We cannot wait to see you.

Hi Friends!! Next Week's Schedule is here! We are going to do something fun for our Donut Days Bakery setups!!

We will be giving away FIVE Meals on Tuesday AND FIVE Meals on Thursday for lunch! Simply like this post, share it, and then comment "Done!" on this post to be entered in our drawing!

Love the way Crossroads Lexington shows up for their events; rain at the beginning didn't stop people from coming out! It was great to catch up with our vendor friends and the many friendly faces at the church! We were scheduled to go to Galls tomorrow for lunch however these pregnant feet have decided otherwise. You all don’t have to drive out of your way to come see us…but you do. You don’t have to find shady places to keep us out of the sun on a hot day…but you do. You don’t have to stand in line on a limited lunch break…BUT YOU DO!! You are exactly why we are able to continue to do what we do and we are SO grateful! Today’s sold out lunch was just the reminder that we needed to continue to push through! Our on-site inspection happened without a hitch and we are so glad that we have an option to continue to serve you Lexington’s Best Hotdogs!

Friends, Fans, Family, and everyone in between; We have recently been navigating regulations regarding toppings on our open air carts. Because we do not operate enclosed trailers or trucks, specialty toppings (chili, cheese, onions, slaw, etc) require us to pay an additional fee everytime that we do them moving forward. A couple of things: We will offer these when we have paid and informed the health department that we are doing them. We will have basic toppings of ketchup, mustard, and relish at any additional setups. Private parties like weddings, corporate events, and others where the public is not included will not require us to pay this fee and therefore we will always offer specialty toppings then.

Our next scheduled setup will be this Wednesday at the UK Turfland Office Park at 2195 Harrodsburg Rd. From 11:00am until 2:00pm. The Health Department has been notified, a fee has been paid, and the public is welcome to come out and enjoy Lexington's Best Hotdogs.

As with other hurdles that we have come across we are determined to learn how to best cater to our customers, and abide by the rules that Lexington has in place while also being inspired to think about whats next for our little business. This may just be the push that we needed to build the cutest, happiest, enclosed trailer that you ever did see in the future.
