TL;DR-its time for equipment to come out of the shop. New building owners moving in. We are grateful! Share what you have to be grateful for!

Hey Y'all,

It's been awhile since we have posted. We have done a lot of reflecting and honestly just trying to figure things out.

We are officially starting to move equipment out of the building and will be looking for buyers of said equipment (DM if interested). We tried to ensure another coffee shop would be in this location, but that is now officially out of our hands and we are unsure of what will happen to the space, but are hopeful for new and exciting things.

We have thought about this page and we still crave to have an impact on people. Though the Coffee shop has come to close, we are considering using this outlet to share kindness and love.

There is still a lot of work to be done in the world and we are hoping we can use this outlet to spread kindness, coffee, and help encourage others to do the right thing.

This word "grateful" has been swimming through our minds a lot lately. And we just wanted to once again express our gratitude towards each and every one of you. Luke's could not have been what it was or done what it did without you! Despite the great aching in our hearts we are still so thankful for all the experiences we have had...even the painful ones.

We hope to continue to grow and be a little better every day. Gratitude is so important. Focus on the things you have (even if its simple and not much), not on what you feel you are in lack of.

Thank you all so much for the love and support you’ve shown us this week! We have been completely overwhelmed by your kindness 💛⁣

It is with utmost sadness we have to announce that tomorrow (1/16) will be our last day open. ⁣
⁣
This little shop has supported and grown our family for almost five years now and we cannot thank you enough for being such a huge part of our lives and allowing us to become a part of yours! ⁣
⁣
We’ll be open 8-3 tomorrow and hope you are able to stop in! We look forward to seeing your faces and serving you coffee one last time! ⁣

Hey y’all! Just wanted to give a quick shop update to our Luke’s Coffee family! ⁣

We have chosen to keep the inside of our shop closed through the end of the year. We want to continue to keep you safe and feel this is the best way for us to do so, especially at this time when many will be visiting loved ones for the holidays. So for the time being we will remain curbside only. ⁣
⁣
We plan to re-open our inside beginning in January, and cannot wait to see your smiling faces in the shop again soon! ⁣

Hey y’all! Since we won’t be slinging coffees for ya next week, we wanted to give a few tips to help you cope with this loss 😉⁣

1. Buy a big latte to get you through the week (order by Friday!) ⁣
⁣
2. Try a new local coffee shop (or a few of them!) We’ve listed out a few here for you, but Lexington is full of great local places to grab a cup of coffee ☕️⁣

3. Take a caffeine detox. Yeah, we think it’s a bit crazy too, but sometimes our bodies just need a break. ⁣
⁣
4. Save $$, brew locally roasted beans at home! However you choose to brew, with these roasters we know it will be good 🙌🏼⁣

5. As always, Spread Kindness, y’all! The world needs more kind people like you and we hope you’ll continue showing kindness and love to those you meet next week 💛⁣

Hey Y'all, for the first time in 4 years of owning a coffee shop with no real vacation, Luke and the crew are taking a MUCH needed week off 🙌🏼⁣

We are definitely sad that we will miss your awesome faces, but it will give you a chance to try out some new places! Check back tomorrow as we will even be sharing some inspiration on places to go while we are closed! ⁣

Said our goodbyes to an employee and dear friend yesterday. Will Doty is headed off to college in Louisville for bigger and better things! Though a lot of you may not have gotten to know Will personally, he has made many of your drinks over the last several months and been a vital member of the team! ⁣

Will goes above and beyond to ensure quality in all areas of his life and we will certainly miss his amazing taste in music, passion for growth, and constant encouragement in our shop! ⁣

The Luke’s team is taking an impromptu mental health day off tomorrow to reevaluate some things, think about our future, and spend some needed time away from the stress of business. ⁣
