Job Summary
Prepare food per recipes in a timely manner, with attention to presentation and portioning. The ideal line cook will care about details and remain calm when tasked with multiple and sometimes complicated orders.
Responsibilities:
Setup and breakdown assigned station/s.
Cook raw and prepared foods including, meat, egg and shellfish.
Label and date stored prepared prep foods.
Clean, organize and maintain: walk-in cooler, butcher’s cooler, walk-in freezer, kitchen coolers, dry stock and paper goods.
Stock and restock items as needed
Ability to change pace during peak hours
Understand comply with food safety and temperature standards
Qualifications:
Current food handlers’ certificate
Ability to carry at least 30 pounds
Ability to communicate with back of house and front of house employees
Ability to organize station and multitask
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to reach, bend, squat and lift while on shift
Knowledge of or ability to learn to use kitchen equipment including knives, slicers, grills, smokers, ovens, fryers, stoves, dishwashers.
Ability to execute recipes including portioning
Evening and weekend availability
