Hi friends! Some of you might notice that an old video of Chris at Pride confronting a content creator (we’re not calling him a minister - let’s call a spade a spade) is getting some attention again. We’re getting comments about it so let’s talk. The content creator had already been spoken to calmly about the situation he was creating for not only our business, but all businesses set up in that area of the event. He chose not to post that, of course, or how he was preventing our teenage children from being able to speak with our customers to take their orders or give them their food. His goal is content - peaceful exchanges aren’t exciting enough for the clicks, follows, and likes that he seeks. Let’s be clear - our goal at Pride (and outside of Pride) was to protect and support local businesses and protect and support our LGBTQIA community. So, for the internet trolls who are not from here, have never patronized our business, and do not know the role we take in supporting our community, family, and friends - we are not sorry.
By the way, this week we have The Lord’s Work on the menu - and the Lord’s work is what we’ll continue to do.
