Indian Center, Inc. is proud and honored to collaborate with the Lincoln Indian Club for their 50th Annual Pow Wow weekend! All are invited to attend and participate in this year's 3-day celebratory weekend!
Starting on Friday, August 2nd, Omaha Tribal Member Laura McCauley will be at the Indian Center building from 10 am until 2 pm doing a Family Tree Workshop. She will also be doing photos and updated Omaha Tribal IDs for all members enrolled with the Omaha Tribe.
At 6 pm, there will be a community dinner sponsored by Kendrick and Trevor Stabler! Following the community dinner will be a handgame!
At 7 am on Saturday, August 3rd, the flag will be raised at William Canby Arena, and a breakfast will be served. Any vendors and dancers wanting to participate during the weekend Pow Wow will need to be registered by 12 pm! Vendors and food trucks will be set up and ready to go for the afternoon grand entry at 1 pm. The evening Grand Entry will be at 7 pm, and the evening meal will be provided and prepared by Isaac Kolb.
Sunday, August 4th, the flag will be raised at William Canby Arena at 7 am, followed by breakfast. Grand entry will be at 1 pm. The Pow Wow will continue until vendors and drum groups pack up at their own pace.
Day pay is available for all participating dancers, as well as 5+ family-sponsored dance contests that come with cash prizes! If you've never attended a Lincoln Pow Wow, this is the year you will want to come by! Dance contests, vendor booths, clothing & jewelry, food trucks, and so much more! We can't wait to see our relatives and all the travelers!
