It’s market week!

Friday we’ll be at the University Place Creative District for their Maker’s Market! Come hear about our new location (conveniently right down the street…), grab some restocked stickers, get your cat a toy, and enjoy all the other vendors and live music! We can’t wait to see y’all there!

We posted about Shiba a few weeks ago and how she had been waiting over a year to find her family. 406 days of waiting and she’s finally home! Congrats Shiba🎊🎉

After 406 days in the shelter, Shiba finally has what she’s been dreaming of — a home.
All she ever wanted was a soft sofa to curl up on and someone who’d toss her ball every now and then. Judging by this update photo, it’s safe to say her dreams have officially come true.

A year of waiting.
A year of hoping.
And now?
A lifetime of love ahead.

Enjoy your new home, we will miss you but we know you are on to bigger and better things. 💛

Sundays have turned into my menu testing day and this week we’re starting on blueberry lemon cat-laches! We finally perfect our salted caramel banana once’s last week, so it was time to pick up with a new flavor this week🫐🍋

This won’t be their final form as I’m already brainstorming ways to tweak the handful of recipes I combined to make these. Currently it a kolache dough base with lemon zest filled with lemon curd and a blueberry sauce. I’m thinking next week I’ll try adding the blueberry right to the dough just like we did with the banana! Might give it a fun pop of color and more blueberry flavor, but we’ll see 😋

It’s National Kitten Day so let’s take a look back at just some of the kittens we’ve rescued or fostered through the years! Remember any of these cuties?

Kitten day is also an important time to remind everyone to please spay and neuter your pets! Kittens are cute, but not all get to go on and live healthy happy lives. Shelters and rescues are overcrowded. A single unspayed female cat can have 4-6 kittens on average per litter and 3 litters per year. Now imagine if all of her female kittens went on to have 15+ kittens each year! That’s how quickly a population can get out of control. If you’re running into issues fixing your cat or aren’t sure where to go, feel free to message us and we’ll gladly give some helpful resources in the community!

UPDATE: ADOPTED!!

How is sweetie little Ice Cream the last of the Frozen Sweet Treat kittens! It seems all of her siblings have been adopted, but she’s still at Beatrice Humane Society waiting for her purr-fect family!

You might think Ice Cream is just another black and white, cow patterned, cookies and cream baby, BUT she’s so much more! She has the most perfectly round head, polite smile, and all around amazing personality!

If you want a lap cat, this is your girl! She wants love and attention every waking moment. So many people ask me how to get a snuggly cat and this one came preprogrammed!

Snuggly not enough for you? Ice Cream has an absolutely AMAZING parrot impression! She loves to climb up to your shoulder and view the world from up high! Did we also mention she sounds like she’s been a chain smoker for way longer than she’s been alive?

With the Frozen Sweet Treat kittens out of the nest… here comes Purrzilla!

This handsome boy from Beatrice Humane Society is hanging out with us for the next two weeks to get a bit more socialized! Purrzilla is definitely still unsure of us (see the last pic for him sadly staring at us from the cat tree), BUT I will say this boy is purring constantly even if he’s still quite wary! He’s super playful and has been chasing, pouncing, and batting at his toys while at a safe distance from us!

I say we have him loving pets by the weekend, but we’ll see 😉
